AIR FRANCE hat gestern ihren ersten A220-300 (F-HZUA) in Empfang genommen und in 7’49 Stunden von Montréal nach Paris überführt. Insgesamt will man bis Jahresende noch vier weitere Exemplare einflotten. Heute wurden im Rahmen einer Presseveranstaltung die ersten Destinationen bekanntgegeben, auf denen das neue Muster ab 31. Oktober zum Einsatz kommen soll:

Wie die italienische Tageszeitung „Il Foglio Quotidiano“ am Samstag berichtete, ist die Lufthansa tatsächlich im Begriff, einen Anteil von 40 % an der staatlichen Alitalia-Nachfolgegesellschaft ITA Airways zu erwerben . Ein entsprechendes Abkommen könnte bereits in der kommenden Woche bekanntgegeben werden.

Die Zeitung nannte keinen Preis für den Deal, sagte aber, die beiden Unternehmen stünden kurz vor einer Einigung über einige Schlüsselbedingungen, wie die Rolle des römischen Flughafens Fiumicino als Drehkreuz für Direktflüge nach Afrika und einige Routen nach Amerika. Ein Geschäft mit ITA würde allerdings vorbehaltlich einer wettbewerbsrechtlichen Genehmigung der Europäischen Union stehen, so die Zeitung.

Dies war nicht anders zu erwarten. Nachdem Polen angekündigt hat in Kürze den Luftraum für sämtliche russische Airlines zu sperren (und andere EU-Staaten ähnliche Maßnahmen vorbereiten), dürften wir Reaktionen wie diese in den nächsten Tagen und Wochen noch öfter sehen. Das sind dann die "Opfer" die "wir" als Gesellschaft dann bereit sein müssen mitzutragen, wie deutsche Politker derzeit ja immer wieder betonen...
