Air China Schedules Iceland late-Oct 2026 Launch — AeroRoutes
Published at 1045PDT / 1745GMT 22JUL26 Star Alliance member Air China during Northern winter 2026/27 season plans to launch service to Iceland, as the airline schedules Beijing Capital – Copenhagen – Reykjavík Keflavík with Airbus A330-300 aircraft. Reservations for this route opened today (22JUwww.aeroroutes.com
The A321XLR is scheduled to start flying select domestic routes in September and will transition to international service on December 1, starting with flights from Dulles International Airport in Washington, D.C. to Amsterdam and Dublin.
YYZ-CPH, YYZ-MAN), Frequenzen erhöhen (z.B. YUL-LIS & YUL-OPO von je 3/7 B787 auf 5/7 A321XLR) sowie neue Strecken, für die eine B787 oder A330 zu groß sind, aufnehmen (YUL-BER, YUL-NTE...):Wenn LH da mal nicht den nächsten Trend verschläft...
Air Canada is betting on the XLR as a game-changer, integral to an ambitious growth strategy to open up year-round transatlantic service and add new overseas routes. The airline currently offers seasonal routes to Europe in widebody aircraft like the Boeing 787 Dreamliner and Airbus A330, but those are typically only profitable in summer, when demand is high.
It’s expected the XLR will ... potentially grabbing market share from U.S. and European competitors by attracting transatlantic customers who normally connect through U.S. airports.
“When you look at Toronto and Montreal, our two main transatlantic hubs, they’re really on the shortest path on the transatlantic,” said Lefevre.
“Almost all the flights from the U.S. overfly Toronto and Montreal … [with the XLR] you get the range to serve so many of those destinations.”
