Woher hat BA die Slots in LHR?
BA had originally told investors earlier this year that capacity over the full year 2008-09 would increase by 2.4%, but it has revised this to a reduction of 0.3%.Chief executive Willie Walsh says the airline will cut capacity by trimming frequencies and suspending a small number of routes. This will equate to withdrawing up to four Boeing 747s from London Heathrow. Most short-haul routes will suffer a degree of frequency loss, says Walsh, and four London Gatwick short-haul services to Poznan, Sarajevo, Dresden, Newquay will be suspended.
Long-haul services will also be reduced for certain periods on routes such as New York JFK,Los Angeles and Tokyo Narita, while the starting date for Hyderabad is being pushed back to December"
