Airline increases services Staff Report
Aero Asia, a private Pakistani airline, received permission last week to increase its flights from Pakistan to the UAE, in addition to starting new routes to other countries. The airline will get six more aircraft within the next three months to cope with the expansion, said an airline official.
"We have permission to operate an additional 28 flights per week in addition to our existing operation of 35 flights per week between the UAE and Pakistan sector," Mohammad Murad, the airline's director for the Gulf region, told Gulf News.
He said the airline would soon increase its number of flights from the UAE to various destinations in Pakistan.
It will also start flying four times a week from Pakistan to Bahrain.
"Our flight operation to UK, Oslo, Copenhagen and Singapore will start after three months," Murad said.
The airline has permission to operate 12 flights from Pakistan to the UK and six flights to Singapore.
It is currently operating its domestic and international flights with only nine aircraft.
"We will add six more aircraft to our fleet within the next three months to cope with the increasing number of flights.
"We are working on the flight schedule and still have to decide whether the flights to Europe will be operated via Dubai or whether passengers will be provided with connections via Pakistan," Murad added.
